Our Environmentally Friendly Policy Since we started out we have remained conscious of the effect we have on our environment and the positive difference we can make to our communities. It is of paramount importance to us that we are not only conscious of this, but take action to do all we can to make a positive contribution. Our aim is to eventually acheive zero waste to landfill. Our Mission At Eco Rubbish Clearance we know it is vital that we take responsibility for our environmental impact and believe that by taking positive action now, we will inspire others to do the same. In doing so we shall leave a healthier environment for future generations to come. Carbon Neutral We are proud to be a Carbon Neutral clearance company. To help combat global warming, the unavoidable CO2 emissions we produce as a company are neutralised by supporting alternative energy and green charities. How We Recycle
Any decent items we collect are rehomed and donated to local charities and community based projects, while all other materials that have recycling potential are taken to recycling facilities to be recycled and reused in the industrial and commercial sectors. Furniture Recycling Furniture we collect that's in decent condition is rehomed through low income housing projects. Furniture that's in bad condition or isn't fire safe is broken apart so the raw materials can be recycled. Appliance Recycling Appliances we collect that are in good working order are easily rehomed through low income housing projects also. Appliances are made of metal, so any appliances that are broken, faulty or too old for rehoming are taken to a metal recycling facility to be 100% recycled. Rubble, Soil and Green Waste All the rubble, soil and green waste we collect is taken to a specialist recycling facility to be sorted and processed. More than 75% is recovered to be reused in the building and landscaping trades. |
